The opossum to the left of the image on the previous page that you just clicked was Pookie. She was hand raised from an infant and was dropped off at my wildlife sanctuary in Sarasota, Florida - hopelessly attached to people. So she lived out her days quite happily as our mascot and the subject of talks our docents gave to grammar school tours. Female possums in that situation need to be spayed. They are quite susceptible to uterine infections if they remain unbred.
